I’m the sort of furparent who rings the veterinarian over one suspicious sneeze. So finding the best pet grooming in Dublin gets nearly the same level of scrutiny.
A good groomer should leave your dog looking deadly, not traumatised by the hairdryer. Clean surroundings, gentle handling, and patient staff are big wins in my book.
We looked for Dublin groomers that make the whole ordeal feel less dramatic for everyone involved. Because if my dog comes home fluffy, fresh, and still speaking to me, I’m happy!

The Ballsbridge salon puts plenty of emphasis on individual needs rather than rushing every pet through the same routine.
It’s a family-run business led by Paul and Laura Abbott, which gives the place a more personal feel. The calmer salon setup may suit dogs who get a bit frazzled in noisier grooming environments.
There’s more here than a standard wash-and-trim job, with daycare and mobile grooming among the wider services. Their grooming school is based at the Ballsbridge location too, giving the business a broader training focus.
The main snag is that daycare is aimed at dogs around 15 kg and under, so bigger pups miss out.
You’ll need a meet-and-greet and up-to-date vaccinations before daycare starts as well.

Mutz Nutz is a handy shout if your dog’s coat needs more than a quick once-over.
Their grooming options are split by coat type, so short-haired, curly and long-coated dogs aren’t all lumped into the same package.
There’s plenty of flexibility too, with puppy grooms, nail trims, face trims and help for heavily matted coats. Having the pet shop under the same roof is a nice bonus if you need to grab food or treats on the way out.
I like that the pricing is fairly easy to follow, especially when coat type and size can make such a difference. It saves a bit of guesswork before you book.
The catch is the €20 deposit, which you can lose for a no-show. Extra charges may apply for matting, behaviour issues or very late collection too.

Coco Bello is a lovely pick if your dog deserves more than a quick wash and tidy. Their Coco’s Cut ’n’ Style starts with a coat assessment before moving into the full pampering works.
We’re talking a bubble bath, massage, facial treatment, nail care and even a moisturising paw treatment.
The final trim can be shaped around the breed or your preferred style, which is handy if you’re fussy about the finish.
I like that there are lighter options too, including puppy baths, wash-and-blow-dries and mini pampers. The salon puts plenty of emphasis on safety and keeping the experience calm for each dog.
The main drawback is the opening schedule, as Coco Bello is closed both Saturday and Sunday. Pricing can vary too, especially for heavily matted or particularly mucky coats.

This is the best grooming company! Brodie always comes out looking stunning and smelling fantastic. The staff is gentle, professional, and clearly loves dogs. They listened to exactly what I wanted for his trim and even got his nails done perfectly (which is usually a battle!). Five stars are well-deserved!

The main drawback is booking, as appointments are arranged by phone or email rather than through an obvious instant online system. That’s a small faff if you’d rather sort everything in a few clicks.

Petstar Dog Grooming Salon is a solid Raheny option if your dog needs the full works rather than a quick splash and dash.
Its grooming covers the usual essentials, including bathing, drying, trimming, nail care and ear cleaning.
I like that the service feels fairly practical and fuss-free, with attention given to both coat care and the smaller hygiene bits. Transport assistance is another handy touch if getting your dog to the salon is a bit of a mission.
The Tuesday-to-Saturday schedule still gives you five booking days, including Saturday. That makes it reasonably workable for plenty of Dublin pet owners.
The main snag is that Petstar closes on Sundays and Mondays. If Sunday is your only free day, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
Excellent grooming service
Great service, highly recommended. Both my dogs love going there, and for the first time they come home very relaxed after the grooming since I switched to this salon. Grooming service is excellent. My golden retriever was very unsettled with any of the previous groomers, and I had to get in to help with the grooming which was causing me a lot of stress. However, at Petstardoggrooming, they look after him so well and he has been doing great since I started going there.
