5 Best Pet Groomers in Dublin to Get Tails Wagging

Staff expertise & certifications: We favoured experienced, qualified groomers who know their way around different breeds. Gentle handling mattered just as much as a tidy trim.

Service variety & customisation: Extra points went to salons offering tailored grooms, de-matting, breed-specific styling, and options for nervous pets. One-size-fits-all grooming didn’t cut it.

Salon hygiene & safety: Clean facilities and pet-safe products were non-negotiable. If the place looked dodgy, it was off the list.

Pricing & value: We looked for clear pricing with no nasty surprises at checkout. Good value mattered more than simply being cheap.

Customer feedback & reputation: We checked local reviews for friendliness, punctuality, and how comfortable pets seemed. Plenty of happy repeat customers were always a good sign.

I’m the sort of furparent who rings the veterinarian over one suspicious sneeze. So finding the best pet grooming in Dublin gets nearly the same level of scrutiny.

A good groomer should leave your dog looking deadly, not traumatised by the hairdryer. Clean surroundings, gentle handling, and patient staff are big wins in my book.

We looked for Dublin groomers that make the whole ordeal feel less dramatic for everyone involved. Because if my dog comes home fluffy, fresh, and still speaking to me, I’m happy!

How much does pet grooming cost in Dublin?

Pet grooming in Dublin usually starts at around €35 for a mini groom or basic bath and brush. A full groom for a small dog typically costs €40 to €60.

For medium and larger breeds, expect to pay around €70 to €100+. Extras such as nail clipping or de-matting can add roughly €10 to €30.

Prices can vary depending on your dog’s size, coat condition, and how much work is needed.

1. Grooming.dog

Website

Address: 126 Pembroke Road, Ballsbridge

Contact: (01) 525-2840

Hours: Monday – Wednesday, Friday-Saturday,  8 AM – 6 PM

Grooming.dog feels like a handy pick if your dog prefers a bit less chaos with their haircut.

The Ballsbridge salon puts plenty of emphasis on individual needs rather than rushing every pet through the same routine.

It’s a family-run business led by Paul and Laura Abbott, which gives the place a more personal feel. The calmer salon setup may suit dogs who get a bit frazzled in noisier grooming environments.

There’s more here than a standard wash-and-trim job, with daycare and mobile grooming among the wider services. Their grooming school is based at the Ballsbridge location too, giving the business a broader training focus.

The main snag is that daycare is aimed at dogs around 15 kg and under, so bigger pups miss out.

You’ll need a meet-and-greet and up-to-date vaccinations before daycare starts as well.

Pros

  • Personalised grooming based on each dog’s needs
  • Calmer salon environment for nervous pets
  • Family-run business
  • Mobile grooming available
  • Daycare offered for eligible dogs
  • Grooming school based at the Ballsbridge location
  • Open until 9 PM on Thursdays

Cons

  • Daycare is generally limited to dogs around 15 kg and under
  • Daycare requires a meet-and-greet and up-to-date vaccinations

I couldn’t be happier

Outstanding service, very friendly staff!

They took very good care of my dog for her first grooming, and she was a new dog after her pampering session!

I was asked about her behaviour, our preferences and the whole session took over 3 hours!! I was told they wanted to take their time to make sure my dog was relaxed and that everything was done right – and I couldn’t be happier!!

You folks are AWESOME!

Definitely recommend

We brought our 2 corgis, Milo and Jake, to dog grooming for the first time; we were absolutely delighted with the results; the dogs were so relaxed after the grooming. The staff are very professional; we were very happy with the results, and would definitely recommend dog grooming. We will be back. Thank you, guys, 😊

2. Mutz Nutz – Walkinstown Pet Shop

Website

Address: 3 Beechfield Ave, Commons

Contact: +353 1 537 5397

Hours: Monday – Saturday, 9:30 AM – 6 PM | Sunday, noon – 5 PM

Mutz Nutz is a handy shout if your dog’s coat needs more than a quick once-over.

Their grooming options are split by coat type, so short-haired, curly and long-coated dogs aren’t all lumped into the same package.

There’s plenty of flexibility too, with puppy grooms, nail trims, face trims and help for heavily matted coats. Having the pet shop under the same roof is a nice bonus if you need to grab food or treats on the way out.

I like that the pricing is fairly easy to follow, especially when coat type and size can make such a difference. It saves a bit of guesswork before you book.

The catch is the €20 deposit, which you can lose for a no-show. Extra charges may apply for matting, behaviour issues or very late collection too.

Pros

  • Grooming options tailored by coat type and dog size
  • Puppy grooming available
  • Nail trims and face trims offered
  • Can accommodate heavily matted coats
  • Clear, easy-to-follow pricing
  • Pet shop conveniently located on-site

Cons

  • €20 booking deposit required
  • Deposit may be lost for no-shows
  • Extra fees can apply for matting or behavioural difficulties
  • Late collection may incur additional charges

My dog has never looked so fresh and clean ever!

First time bringing my dog to Mutz Nutz in walkinstown.

My dog has never looked so fresh and clean ever! I am glad I changed to this groomer! Would highly recommend!!! Very friendly staff and a very welcoming environment!

Thanks again!

I will be back!

Amazing job

We always bring our dog Lola here to get groomed by Victoria. She is incredible, and Lola loves her. She always does such an amazing job, and people always comment on how well groomed Lola is. They also have a great selection of food, treats, leads, coats and beds, etc. We get everything for Lola here, and the staff are so friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

3. Coco Bello Dog Grooming

Website

Address: 81 Lower Kilmacud Rd, Stillorgan

Contact: 087 1810616

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM

Coco Bello is a lovely pick if your dog deserves more than a quick wash and tidy. Their Coco’s Cut ’n’ Style starts with a coat assessment before moving into the full pampering works.

We’re talking a bubble bath, massage, facial treatment, nail care and even a moisturising paw treatment.

The final trim can be shaped around the breed or your preferred style, which is handy if you’re fussy about the finish.

I like that there are lighter options too, including puppy baths, wash-and-blow-dries and mini pampers. The salon puts plenty of emphasis on safety and keeping the experience calm for each dog.

The main drawback is the opening schedule, as Coco Bello is closed both Saturday and Sunday. Pricing can vary too, especially for heavily matted or particularly mucky coats.

Pros

  • Coat assessment before the full groom
  • Breed-specific or owner-preferred styling
  • Includes bath, massage, facial, nail and paw care
  • Puppy baths and mini pamper options available
  • Emphasis on a calm, safety-focused environment
  • Good range of lighter grooming services

Cons

  • Closed on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Prices may increase for heavily matted or very dirty coats

Keep up the good work

I have been taking my dog to Coco Bella since it opened, and my dog has never been so relaxed going through the doors of a groomer, and she is always greeted by professionals who clearly love animals. I know the care and attention she gets is first class. She not only gets a great grooming every time, but I see how the staff prioritise the comfort of the dogs, and really care for them. Keep up the good work! Gail & Roxy

Best grooming company

This is the best grooming company! Brodie always comes out looking stunning and smelling fantastic. The staff is gentle, professional, and clearly loves dogs. They listened to exactly what I wanted for his trim and even got his nails done perfectly (which is usually a battle!). Five stars are well-deserved!

4. All Dogs Go To Fetch

Website

Address: 437 Howth Road, Raheny

Contact: 086 380 0993

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 9 AM-6 PM

All Dogs Go To Fetch is a handy Raheny option if your dog needs a proper tidy-up without too much fuss.

The team takes a tailored approach, so grooming is shaped around what each pet actually needs.

I like that the salon keeps things fairly straightforward rather than dressing everything up with loads of bells and whistles. It’s a good fit for owners who want practical grooming with a more personal touch.

The Howth Road location makes it convenient for northside dog owners, especially if regular coat maintenance is already part of the routine. The business puts plenty of emphasis on dedicated care and individual attention.

The main drawback is booking, as appointments are arranged by phone or email rather than through an obvious instant online system. That’s a small faff if you’d rather sort everything in a few clicks.

Pros

  • Tailored grooming based on each dog’s needs
  • Personal, straightforward approach
  • Convenient Raheny location
  • Good option for routine coat maintenance
  • Emphasis on individual attention and care

Cons

  • No obvious instant online booking system/appointments need to be arranged by phone or email

Recommended

The best dog grooming salon ever, such professional & attentive staff. My dog Peaches always looks amazing after her pamper days here. Krystal & her staff are fantastic, I would recommend this place to all dog owners 🙂

Fantastic grooming service

They provide a fantastic grooming service for my  dog, and the prices are very reasonable. My dog loves going off for his groom as Johanna and the staff make him feel so comfortable. They even provide a free pick up and collection service. I can’t recommend this enough.

5. Petstar Dog Grooming Salon

petstar-dog-grooming-salon-logo

Website

Address: 19 Main St

Contact: +353 831712609

Hours: Tuesday – Saturday, 9 AM – 6 PM

Petstar Dog Grooming Salon is a solid Raheny option if your dog needs the full works rather than a quick splash and dash.

Its grooming covers the usual essentials, including bathing, drying, trimming, nail care and ear cleaning.

I like that the service feels fairly practical and fuss-free, with attention given to both coat care and the smaller hygiene bits. Transport assistance is another handy touch if getting your dog to the salon is a bit of a mission.

The Tuesday-to-Saturday schedule still gives you five booking days, including Saturday. That makes it reasonably workable for plenty of Dublin pet owners.

The main snag is that Petstar closes on Sundays and Mondays. If Sunday is your only free day, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

Pros

  • Full grooming with coat and hygiene care
  • Bathing, drying, trimming, nail care, and ear cleaning
  • Transport assistance available
  • Open on Saturdays
  • Practical option for routine grooming in Raheny

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays and Mondays

Excellent grooming service

Great service, highly recommended. Both my dogs love going there, and for the first time they come home very relaxed after the grooming since I switched to this salon. Grooming service is excellent. My golden retriever was very unsettled with any of the previous groomers, and I had to get in to help with the grooming which was causing me a lot of stress. However, at Petstardoggrooming, they look after him so well and he has been doing great since I started going there.

Highly recommend

Grooming truly exceeded my expectations! Frida can be quite nervous, but Gutierro immediately knew how to make her feel safe and comfortable. His calm and caring approach put both of us at ease. Frida looked absolutely amazing after her grooming session, especially with her adorable little star piercings! It’s clear that Gutierro has a real talent and genuine love for what he does. I couldn’t recommend Perstar Grooming more highly 🌟 thank you for such a wonderful experience! ❤️
