Chimney Sweep’s parent company, Stillorgan Group, is well known throughout Dublin, and I’ve personally worked with their carpet cleaning and power washing services. Just like their other services, their team provides thorough cleaning at affordable prices.
Their most basic chimney sweep is available for domestic and commercial chimneys. They can work with all classes of flues. I appreciate their use of modernised techniques, such as CCTVs, to assess the severity of each job.
Additionally, they clean stoves and fireplaces connected to the chimneys. Their team can also perform smoke tests to ensure all blockages are fully cleared.
Their bird guard installation is another highlight. It can keep pesky birds from setting up nests inside them. Furthermore, I availed myself of their chimney lining, which has protected my chimney to this day.

What impressed me about Dublin Chimney Sweep is that they provide services from Balbriggan to Bray.
When dealing with their basic chimney sweep, some clients were impressed by the extensive collection of tips they received regarding cleaning.
The team advised us that gas and oil chimneys should be cleaned annually, while wood ones should be cleaned the following season.

For an all-around service, I recommend Apex. They also offer great discounts when dealing with chimney sweeps, and they can clean multiple chimneys on the same roof or compound.
While they don’t utilise modern techniques, I still found their services to be quite extensive. They scrub and wash the inside and outside of the chimneys. Additionally, they can clean the fireplace for an additional fee.
I typically add gutter and window cleaning when I have my chimney cleaned, taking advantage of the added discount. However, this varies depending on the amount to be cleaned and the severity of the cleaning required.
I often avail myself of their fascia and soffit cleaning, and using this in conjunction with gutter cleaning, have removed years of dirt buildup on my roof. A chimney sweep can also come free of charge, especially when you avail yourself of their other services.
Unfortunately, they don’t offer extra services like smoke tests, which other companies typically include, due to their more traditional approach.

Still, after using their services for a while, I’ve followed their advice and have them clean my chimney twice a year. Additionally, I learned to keep my fireplace completely dry, which reduced its overall dirtiness.
