After struggling with TMJ problems for most of her life, I helped her find skilled orthodontists to address the problem. Following a full round of braces and minor surgical orthodontics, she was finally able to smile with confidence again.
With that experience, along with others from friends and colleagues, I’ve gathered a list of the best orthodontists in Dublin. These are professionals who can help restore confidence and relieve those stubborn TMJ issues.

Seapoint Dental Clinic is the ideal location for those residing near Blackrock and Sandyford. In my experience, they can work with children and adults to fix all your orthodontic needs.
However, if you’re based farther away, especially in the north, it might not be worth the long trip.
Regardless, I was impressed that they allow children to start orthodontic realignment at ages 6-10 (and honestly, I was a tad jealous).
For adults like me, don’t worry—they also have great treatment plans for us. They offer traditional or clear bracket six-month braces for those seeking the most affordable option.
Aside from that, they also have Invisalign options for discreet realignment. I was reassured when they showcased their smile simulations.
They also offer top-notch cosmetic dentistry, including veneers and crowns, crafted from premium-quality materials. Their dental implants are available in full arches or as a single unit, which is great for those with missing teeth.

Unlike other clinics, they’re multidisciplinary, providing both orthodontic and dental treatments.
When dealing with discreet orthodontics, they have a new option called Angel Aligners. Their patients love these since they are worn in short bursts and come in two pairs. The softer aligner is worn for seven days, while the harder one is worn for three days.
Aside from these, they also offer Invisalign options and traditional fixed braces, the latter being great for those on a budget. There are also unique ceramic braces for those on a budget who want a discreet experience.
After treatment, customised retainers are offered to maintain tooth alignment. Other patients have also undergone traditional dentistry, receiving cleanings after adjustments.

Working with Dr. Kostas is a joy. He offers unique orthodontic treatments that you won’t find anywhere else. He also conducts up-to-date procedures, such as iTero 3D imaging.
For patients who prefer a gentler experience, I recommend the Damon System. These are much gentler than traditional braces and are suitable for all ages.
There’s also a ceramic version, which is essentially a clear alternative to traditional braces. For a discreet experience, Dr. Kostas offers Incognito Braces. These are attached to the back of the teeth and can help treat patients who don’t align with Invisalign.
Of course, the Invisalign and traditional 6-month braces here are top-notch too. Another great aspect of Dr. Kostas’ practice is that he also performs jaw surgery for cases that cannot be corrected through non-invasive orthodontic treatments.
However, please note that the clinic specialises solely in orthodontic treatments and does not offer general dentistry services.

Newpark Clinic uses state-of-the-art technologies in its treatments. Being one of the top 1% Invisalign providers in Europe, my friend, Sam, knew she was in safe hands when working with them.
Led by Doctor O’Donnell, Sam was comforted through each visit by the team’s warm smiles and delicate procedures. Additionally, we were impressed that their Invisalign costs are significantly lower than those of others and come with flexible payment plans.
When discussing braces, there are traditional fixed metal braces, which are popular among children and teenagers due to their versatility.
Patients also liked the discreet options, such as ceramic braces and the aforementioned Invisalign. Notably, Newpark Clinic is one of the few clinics that offer Angel Aligners, which Doctor O’Donnell suggests are best suited for individuals with short teeth.
However, the problem is that they don’t offer surgical procedures and will instead recommend you to other practices for these services.

Dr. Erfan Salloum provides a comprehensive orthodontic experience with his unique specialisations. His clinic is located in Dublin City Centre, where he’s part of the Institute of Specialist and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Many patients swear by his treatments, and I can see why. Beyond conventional orthodontics, Dr. Salloum provides a variety of advanced options tailored to different needs.
One standout is his lingual fixed braces, which are attached to the back of the teeth. My friend currently has these, and they’re impressively versatile—just like traditional braces—but completely hidden from view.
Another major reason to visit Dr. Salloum’s clinic is his skill in orthodontic surgical procedures. These include treatments such as orthodontic mini-implants, which help correct jaw alignment.
I really appreciate that he even performs orthognathic surgery with exceptional precision. Some patients with smaller mouths may also undergo skeletal palatal expansion.
However, do note that because of these advanced procedures, the overall treatment costs tend to be higher than average.
