The 5 best gynaecologists in Dublin for expert women’s health support
The intimate nature of a gynecologist appointment cannot be overstated. Regardless of whether the specialist is male or female, the experience of having such a personal area examined can understandably feel intimidating.
Fortunately, gynaecologists are highly trained professionals who excel at helping patients feel at ease during reproductive health assessments. They are also skilled in identifying various conditions, including STIs, PCOS, and other gynaecological concerns.
Having visited several clinics myself, I’ve gathered a reliable list of the best gynaecologists in Dublin. These specialists provide comprehensive evaluations to ensure you feel as supported as possible throughout your appointment.
How much does a session with a gynaecologist cost in Dublin?
A session with a gynaecologist in Dublin typically costs around €90 to €300. The main factors that will increase or decrease the price are the use of specialised equipment, such as ultrasound, or any additional services needed for a session.
1. ObGyn Clinic

Address: 39 Swords Rd, Whitehall, D09 DK44, Ireland
Contact Details: +353 85 191 6664
Operating Hours:
- Tuesday to Thursday: 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
- Saturday: 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Led by Dr Tomas Kazlauskas, who has over 20 years of experience, ObGyn Clinic provides great care for adult women. He’s a member of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (RCPI) and is accredited by the Medical Council of Ireland (MCI).
While he doesn’t offer treatments for teens, I found his services to be extensive and more than make up for this. Some notable services include STD screenings, diseases like chlamydia and gonorrhoea, and contraceptive management utilising the preferred type of the patient.
I also loved that all treatment and testing are done on the same visit.
He can even diagnose and treat ovarian cysts to great effect. Cervical smear tests are also available here for free for women between the ages of 25 and 65, and are great at detecting cancer.
Bookings here don’t require a GP’s referral. Additionally, Dr Tomas sends results, such as reports and scans, through email.
I have never felt so heard and seen
“I had an ultrasound and gynaecology appointment with Dr. Tomas Kazlauskas and I have never felt so heard and seen after it! I am truly so grateful for Tomas for not only listening to my problems, but also for his willingness to get me urgent care when I needed it! He was so gentle and understanding and was so eager to get me the help I need. I couldn’t recommend him enough! Truly amazing 🙏🏻🫶🏻”

I have finally been validated for the pain I have felt for 4 years
“Amazing service. I was stuck with misdiagnosis from female gyno’s who were so dismissive and rude, and clearly had no idea what they are doing. With Dr Tomaz I have finally been validated for the pain I have felt for 4 year and explanation to heavy bleeding. Dr. Thomaz was very professional, informative and was very validating to what I had experienced. He provided two treatment options and ultrasound scan results were shared within few moments to my email address. I could not recommend this gynecologist higher. I finally have my answers and treatment to help me relieve the suffering. Thank you! I will be returning many more times for all my gynecology needs.”

2. Rotunda Hospital

Address: Parnell Square E, Rotunda, D01 P5W9, Ireland
Contact Details: +353 1 817 1700
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours
Rotunda Hospital was founded by Dr. Bartholomew Mosse in 1745. It’s the world’s oldest continuously operating maternity hospital.
Being a public hospital, it operates under the Health Service Executive (HSE), and many of its doctors offer private consultations. Patients here can choose either, but I can attest that both are great.
Their gynaecology services are multidisciplinary, with the main ones being menstrual disorders and endometriosis. The other categories are more specialised, with their doctors treating cases of prolapse and menopausal symptoms.
Other services that they provide include colposcopy, which is great at checking cervical issues and HPV.
Rotunda is also a maternity hospital and helps women through every step, from planning their baby’s arrival to the child’s eventual birth.
There are over 9,000 births here annually. Many of the midwives here are trainees from Trinity College Dublin, highly supervised and well-trained.
However, treatment here does require a GP’s referral.
Thank you to the staff at the Rotunda Hospital for their professional care
“Thank you to the staff at the Rotunda Hospital for their professional care and kindness during my very recent stay at the hospital. I cannot express adequately my gratitude to everyone I encountered during my 5 night stay while I had, and recovered from surgery. From my initial contact with Admissions, care and professiionalism from my Consultant and her Theatre team, and the many nurses throughout the Gynae Wards, the catering and service staff and the student midwives from RCSI, every single interaction was pleasant, professional and I felt treated with the utmost kindness and care. Without doubt nurses do not choose a career, they choose a vocation. I will always remember and be grateful for this experience.”

Incredibly happy, thankful, and grateful for the outstanding care
“I am incredibly happy, thankful, and grateful for the outstanding care I received at Rotunda under public care (not semi-private) during the anti natal period. As someone who is not Irish, I was treated with the same warmth, dignity, and respect as if I were all-inclusive, and that meant the world to me.
The midwives deserve national recognition—they turned my labor into a beautiful and happy story. During my first days in the hospital, they made my start into motherhood so smooth and reassuring. Their postnatal care was exceptional; they visited me so often in the first three weeks that I truly felt like they were family.
A special mention also to the catering team—the food in Rotunda is honestly better than half the restaurants in Dublin!
Thank you to everyone at Rotunda for making this journey such a wonderful one. I will always be grateful!”

3. St. Vincent’s Private Hospital

Address: Merrion Rd, D04 N2E0, Ireland
Contact Details: +353 1 263 8000
Operating Hours: Open 24 hours
The gynaecology consultants at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital (SVPH) provide a comprehensive service for women.
SVPH is Ireland’s largest acute private hospital and is a service provided by St. Vincent’s University Hospital.
Impressively, they’re accredited with the Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) and their members are part of the Health Information & Quality Authority (HIQA). They recently successfully reaccredited with the Joint Commission International (JCI).
Some of the more common conditions that they treat are menstrual dysfunction and urinary incontinence. Patients also came here for great results when dealing with ovarian cysts and infertility.
Uniquely, their team of consultants operate as Urogynecologists and Colorectal Surgeons who deal with prolapses and incontinence. On top of that, surgery here is safe and fairly successful.
Additionally, they can provide cancer risk-reducing surgery to slow down the disease.
Still, I do wish their rates were more affordable, as these services can be quite costly.
They offer what I would consider the best medical facilities in Ireland
“I’ve spent many hours in St Vincent’s. Some good some sad. But I can not fault the staff. They offer what I would consider the best medical facilities in Ireland. As a teaching hospital it is the central hub for many medical professionals. The backbone of the the care staff are the excellent nurses!!”

Genuine and expert-friendly staff
“Very professional caring hospital. Staff at all levels and times very helpful. Top of the range medical equipment for all medical problems and needs. There is no A&E department but patients do have a Triage facility. Genuine and expert friendly staff Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, receptionists, porters, Phisiotheripists, Plubotomists and anyone else I forgot to mention. They really appreciate and care about you.”

There are five clinics here. Each is staffed by multidisciplinary doctors, specialists, and midwives, all trained to provide the highest level of care. The benign gynaecology clinic and cervical review clinic offer great care to patients with abnormal bleeding or fibroids.

Still, services here aren’t always available, with the cervical review clinic only running on Wednesday.

I was very well looked after by the hospital staff
“I am Brazilian and I was very well looked after by the hospital staff, including the employees, doctors and nurses. Everyone was very friendly and approachable. They provided me with a translator and that made me feel very welcome. I had a curettage there because I had a miscarriage. I recommend this hospital. The service was very good. Thanks for all 🙏”

Dr. Eliana has a warm and compassionate approach
“I’ve seen a few gynecologists in Dublin over the years, but none have come close to the level of care and attention I’ve received from Dr. Eliana. She is, without a doubt, the best gynecologist in Dublin. From the very first appointment, I felt truly listened to, respected, and genuinely cared for.

Her professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail are unmatched. I feel incredibly lucky to have found her, and I honestly wouldn’t trust anyone else. I recommend Dr. Eliana 100% – if you’re looking for someone who is knowledgeable, kind, and truly dedicated to her patients, she’s the one.
