My team and I discovered that FRS Recruitment is part of Ireland’s largest national agency, with offices all over the country. This gives them a unique mix of national reach and local expertise.

During our undercover consultation, we learned that they cover a wide range of sectors, from Healthcare and IT. They even cover Sales & Marketing too. They can pretty much tackle any recruitment need, whether it’s permanent or temporary positions.

What really stood out to us was how much they value building solid relationships with both employers and job seekers. They really took the time to ask about our preferences and career goals, giving us honest advice based on their experience.

We also spoke to some of their clients, who highlighted how proactive FRS has been in helping Irish expats return home for work. They also collaborate with groups like the GAA to create job opportunities in Ireland.

That said, a few clients did mention that some job placements didn’t quite align with their skills or expectations.

Pros

  • National reach with local expertise
  • Wide sector coverage
  • Focus on building strong connections
  • Proactive in helping Irish expats

Cons

  • A few reports about job placement mismatches

Absolutely professional and enables me to be myself at all times

“Working with FRS Recruitment Agency has been very nice experience for me! Maria Weafer, one of the recruiters I’m working with is an absolute amazing professional and enables me to be myself at all times. Her communication skills, warm tone and analytical skills make me feel valued as a potential candidate and ready to rock on an interview! Especially for a sector like the medical industry, Maria’s example is what we should aim for. Thank you FRS, I would definitely recommend you to my close friends!”

Business hours:

What really makes Sigmar Recruitment stand out for us is their innovative approach to hiring, especially their Capability Framework Model. This approach streamlines the hiring process and ensures candidates are well-prepared and aligned with client expectations.

When we chatted with them, we quickly saw how great they are at tailoring their recruitment services to match the unique needs of each business. They don’t just find qualified candidates—they make sure they’re a good fit for the company’s culture and values too.

Sigmar has 14 specialised teams for industries like IT, finance, and engineering. In 2020, they helped over 2,000 people land jobs, mostly in high-demand areas like IT and finance.

Their success hasn’t gone unnoticed either. They’ve bagged over 50 awards, including multiple “Recruitment Agency of the Year” titles.

But we did hear from a few former clients that the performance-driven culture at Sigmar can be a bit stressful. The pressure might not be for everyone, especially if you prefer a more laid-back and less competitive work environment.

Another thing we picked up is that Sigmar tends to prioritise hard skills and experience over soft skills. While this can be great for finding technically skilled candidates, it might mean some well-rounded individuals, who excel in communication and cultural fit, get overlooked.

Pros

  • Innovative approach
  • Tailored recruitment
  • Specialised teams
  • Strong track record
  • Strong track record

Cons

  • Stressful culture
  • Focus on hard skills

I was at ease throughout every part of the process

“I recently worked with Alan Murphy in Sigmar Recruitment in connection with a new role and happily went on to secure the role, commencing in November.  Alan was incredible to deal with with a focus on making sure that I was well prepared for interview and that I was at ease throughout every part of the process. I have worked with recruiters in the past but the difference with Alan and Sigmar was his attention to detail and kind guidance. A wonderful experience throughout.”

“I was approached by Alan and the team at Sigmar about a potential new role, and from start to the successful finish the team were absolutely outstanding. As a professional I can wholeheartedly recommend Sigmar to prospective employers and candidates in search of that next great opportunity. Thank you to Alan in particular for your help and guidance, it made all the difference.”

If you’re hunting for a tech-focused recruitment agency, Realtime Recruitment is definitely worth checking out. With over 15 years in the game, they’ve built up a massive network in the tech world.

They’ve been named All-Ireland Recruitment Company of the Year for two years straight (2023/24), which shows just how much of an impact they’re having in the industry.

Since Realtime is family-owned, they keep things personal—something you don’t always get with big multinational firms. A few clients we spoke to mentioned how their strong relationships with Realtime made the whole experience feel more tailored.

When we visited for an undercover consultation, their team explained their “Realtime Way” methodology. It’s all about accountability, integrity, and building rapport to keep things consistent across the tech world.

That said, we’ve heard a bit of buzz about scammers impersonating Realtime Recruitment, especially on platforms like WhatsApp.

While these scams have caused some confusion, it’s important to note that they’re not linked to the agency itself—they’re just using Realtime’s name to try and trick people. Definitely something they should sort out, though!

  • Experience
  • Tech expertise
  • Tailored approach
  • Proven success
  • Recognition

Cons

  • Scammers impersonating Realtime
  • Limited sector coverage
